Dog/Cat

All dogs and cats that are owned and kept within the city limits of Marble Falls are required to be licensed through the Marble Falls Police Department. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required in order to obtain a city license.

  • Spayed/Neutered Dog/Cat: $10.00 per animal, per year.
    • 65 years and over: $0.00 per animal, per year.
  • Intact Dog/Cat: $20.00 per animal, per year.
    • 65 years and over: $20.00 per animal, per year.

Cat Colony

Any person who provides food and water to a colony (5 or more) of feral, homeless, stray, wild or untamed cats shall obtain a permit from the Animal Services Department. Registration of a feral cat colony is free of charge.

Kennels

Any person or group that keeps, boards or trains a total combination of six (6) or more dogs or cats or provides a facility and care, with or without compensation shall obtain a permit from the Animal Services Department.

Commercial Animal Sales

All persons engaged in the commercial sale of any animals, domestic or otherwise, including, but not limited to, pet stores and stores in which pets and animals are not the central item of sale within the store, such as department stores, drugstores and convenience stores, must apply for a commercial animal sales permit at the Animal Services Department.
